It's difficult for the Australian squad to set fresh records.

The highest peaks have been successfully scaled.

We're talking about the team that has secured seven Cricket World Cups, plus an additional six T20 titles, and previously enjoyed 1,294 days undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, the ones sought by the achievement hunters, are what's still available for a side that has accomplished all there is.

That it took as late as Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase exceeding 300, reclaiming their record for the largest in women's cricket's 50-over format, is, honestly, a testament to the bowling attack that have worn canary yellow over five decades.

It's difficult for their batsmen to hold a record if not provided the possibility.

Ultimately, the result of Australia conceding 330 was skipper Alyssa Healy being given a platform to create her latest masterpiece.

At the subsequent ODI World Cup in New Zealand, Healy scored 170 against England in the final and was declared player of the series. She ensured her country would not fail again.

The question of whether this recent magnificent innings surpassed that earlier display can be debated.

Many contend the argument supporting final game tension. Different voices suggest with the challenge that comes when pursuing an unprecedented total and a raucous India-supporting crowd of 20,000.

What's definite is this ton was far harder to anticipate.

The Christchurch carnage in 2022 happened while she was the highest scorer, but this innings was preceded by six games in India from the beginning of the previous month in which she had been unable to reach 30.

"If you've been watching me in the nets, it was a frustrating experience because it appeared my form was missing completely," stated Healy.

"Hopefully we don't have to do it another time but, if necessary, we believe we can succeed."

That comment will be the final thing Australia's opponents at this tournament should hear.

During the last week a sense they will win from any position has become more firm - this victory coming after win against Pakistan by 107 run margin despite struggling at 76-7 at a certain moment.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before a meeting with old rivals England in Indore in a week and a half, by which point a semi-final place may likely be confirmed.
